Worship, Prayer, Ministry to serve the needs of the Body of Christ.   Every servant leader is encouraged to bring ministry material to share at this gathering.  Messianic Rabbi Robert Wolff will give each of us a copy of the book, "Awakening the One New Man" and Past Gaylord Enns will bless us with his book, "Love Revolution: Rediscovering the Lost Command of Jesus."  Since the host church - Houses of Light, Northridge - will be serving lunch, you are asked to RSVP to me at CA4Jesus@gmail.com by June 8 and contribute $10 on June 16.

40 Years Ago This Week - EXPLO 72
The Great Jesus Rally! June 12-17, 2012

Have heard of (or actually participated in) "Explo 72", June 12-17, 1972?  This was the largest gathering of Jesus Movement era that brought together 180,000 followers of Jesus to Dallas to reach the world for Christ.  Billy Graham preached 6 times at the invitation of Campus Crusade for Christ, and wonderful songs of love & revival were sung by those who were sold out for the Lord.  If you search "Explo 72" on the Internet you will find some very inspiring links including the cover story of June 30, 1972 edition of LIFE Magazine.  Would you click "The Great Jesus Rally", take a good look at pages 40-45 and share your response with me?  I would love to know how the Lord the speaking to you in this season of 40th Anniversary of "Explo 72" that was called "The Great Jesus Rally" by LIFE Magazine.

It is very interesting to me that there are key gatherings planned in Jesus' Golden State during the 40th anniversary week of this incredible Dallas event.  As most of you know, Jesus Movement (also known as Jesus People Movement) was birthed here in California in the late 1960s.  It was the last state-wide revival that spread throughout our nations & went around the world.  1972 seemed to be the peak of this Movement and the Lord used amazing servant leaders such as Chuck Smith, John Wimber, David Wilkerson, Winkie Pratney & Keith Green to remind the Church it is ALL about JESUS.  40 years after the PEAK, we are once again reminded that it is ALL about Jesus: He is our LIFE, LOVE, LIBERTY.  He is our VISION & PASSION and we cannot take our eyes off Him.  We must embrace & walk in His MINISTRY.

As you consider the heart of this email letter, would also consider interceding for the following gatherings of Northern, Central & Southern California as well as others that I am not aware of in your city/region/state?  Perhaps the Lord has placed in the hearts of many to convene the Body and corporately seek His Face during this key moment in our nation's history.  May the deposits of 40 years be the "Early Rain" for the coming "Later Rain" that will usher the Return of the King - The ONE Who reigns over California and Giver of the Rain!  Let us TOGETHER dig the wells of revival in Jesus' Golden State.
